Application & Enrolment Process
There are three basic steps in the application process for Brougham courses.
Step 1:
Contact Brougham for specific information regarding the course(s) you are interested in or go to our
Accredited Courses page and look at the details of the courses available. Here you can get a good idea of the curriculum, costs etc. to help you decide which ones you are most interested in If you can't find the information you are after or have further questions relating to our courses please
contact us.
Step2:
Once you have decided which course you would like to enrol for, download and complete an
Application Form (see below) ensuring that
all areas of the form are completed. Return this completed form to Brougham for processing as soon as possible, either by mail fax or email. Remember there are limited places in most of our courses so the earlier you apply the more chance you have of being selected and getting your preferred choice of subjects. Mature-Age applicants are welcome.

Step3:
After your application is received Brougham will organise a personal interview for you to discuss your application further. Our courses don't have qualification prerequisites but, at this interview, we are checking for:
- interest and enthusiasm for the field of study,
- ability to organise thoughts, ideas and time,
- communication skills,
- evidence of formal and informal qualifications.
VCE English is desired but not essential.
A folio of work may help in the selection process.
You should bring along any documents pertaining to your application, such as qualification certificates, letters of recommendation etc. to this interview. This is your chance to have any outstanding questions answered.
Successful applicants will receive an offer of a course place, either at their interview or very soon afterwards. You will need to confirm your acceptance of this offer and book your place in the course by completing a course enrolment form and paying your initial enrolment fee as soon as you can.
COURSE FEES:
Brougham offers a 'pay as you go, graduate debt-free' system.
We receive no government funding to offset the costs of delivering our courses so we require subject fees to be paid prior to the start of each semester. Download fee information for individual courses by going to our
Accredited Courses page and selecting the appropriate course title. Note that, as well as your course fees, students should make financial provision for the supply of some equipment and materials for their course. The specific requirements and costs will be discussed at your interview.
ACCESS and EQUITY:
Brougham is committed to providing a non-discriminatory learning environment.
RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING (RPL) and CREDIT TRANSFERS:
Under the Victorian Qualifications Authority, Brougham recognises qualifications and statements of attainment and also credit transfers by other Registered Training Organisations. Any applicant who has relevant experience and previous formal or informal learning, may be eligible for credit for certain units and will be given opportunities for assessment. Please discuss at your interview if you think that you might qualify for exemption from course units by RPL or Credit Transfer.
