OUR COURSES:
Brougham offers a full range of nationall recognised fully accredited art and photography courses for those wanting to pursue professional careers or higher level study. All our courses are practically based, teaching the required skills in an applied hands-on way, with small class sizes allowing individual attention. Courses include visits with working professionals and excursions to galleries and exhibitions so students can keep up with current trends in their industry. In our vocational courses emphasis is placed on student’s contact with professionals in their field, not only to gain knowledge and experience, but also to create a useful network that will be important when the time comes to look for employment. Assessment for all of our courses is project based, requiring satisfactory completion of a series of set tasks rather than stressful exams to test for competency.

OUR TEACHERS:
Brougham’s teachers are all qualified in their respective fields and have teacher training appropriate to their courses. They are also all practicing professionals which means that they are not only competent in the requisite skills and techniques, but also knowledgeable and experienced about the industry they work in. Such practical industry insight is often just as valuable to students as the basic technical skills that they learn during their course.

ACCESS & EQUITY:
Brougham is committed to providing a non-discriminatory learning environment.

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING (RPL) & CREDIT TRANSFER:
An applicant who has relevant experience and previous formal or informal learning, may be eligible for credit for certain units and will be given opportunities to apply for assessment. Under the Victorian Qualifications Authority Brougham is obliged to recognise qualifications and statements of attainment issued by other Registered Training Organisations.
